Alex Halliday was an inspirational history teacher, tutor, cricket master and sports coach, who died tragically after a very short illness. It is obvious from the outpouring of grief and sentiment since his death that he meant a great deal to a great many people. His influence over and encouragement of his pupils was heartfelt and is long lasting.
He was also a loving husband, son, brother and friend, and a devoted father to Georgina. At the age of two and a half, she is left without him.
As a result, The Alex Halliday Trust has been established so that anybody who wishes to contribute to Georgina’s future educational needs may do so. Her father was a wonderful inspiration to many; he had a deep and genuine care for the individual. Georgina had such a short time to benefit from his love and influence. The Trust will help provide for her future.
